Fantastic Kick-Off for New NAWBO Year
What a night! We came, we ate well, and we tripped down memory lane with an upbeat photo recap of our fabulous networking and educational events. We were inspired by the comments of City Commissioner Patricia Keon, along with remarks by our outgoing President Anne B. Freedman and our newly installed President Jennifer Ohl-- and we kicked off the new NAWBO year in style.
A great turnout meant every seat was taken and no one minded being in tight quarters with such great folks, including new Fort Lauderdale NAWBO President Joyce Hunter, immediate past Fort Lauderdale President Yvonne Gruber, and our very own past President, Kelly Sastre.
Anne thanked the 2013-2014 Board for their contributions and dedication throughout the year with some affectionate teasing directed at her hard-working fellow leaders. She shared how NAWBO had opened doors for her in terms of new business opportunities in the U.S. and abroad, as well as personally. Jennifer recounted how joining NAWBO and the relationships she developed have helped her settle into her new home town. She encouraged those attending to get involved on a committee so they can benefit the way she has since joining several years ago.
